Luke’s dad always joked that Luke learned how to cast a fly rod before he learned how to walk. That’s probably a fishing story, but it isn’t far from the truth. Luke grew up stripping Clouser minnows for striped bass and bluefish off the coast of New England, poaching golf course ponds for largemouth bass, and throwing hoppers and stoneflies for trout up and down the Rocky Mountains. Of all these waters, the streams and rivers of the West won out. Luke got his undergraduate degrees from the University of Colorado, his Masters Degree in Restoration Ecology from Colorado State University, and has spent more than a decade guiding in Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana.

When Luke isn’t guiding, you can probably find him fly fishing, skiing, or hunting in the mountains and valleys surrounding Bozeman, MT with his dog Huckleberry.
